The Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering is a nodal center of excellence for furthering multi-disciplinary efforts in biology-related areas addressing both the fundamental and applied aspects of biology. The Biodepartment aims to create an ambience for the smooth pursuit of scholarly activity in research and education, towards creating an international impact in biology-related areas and endeavors to produce the leaders of tomorrow in this field. The department has been involved in interdisciplinary research in the Biosciences and Bioengineering. It has a unique admixture of students and faculty from a variety of backgrounds in basic sciences, applied sciences and engineering pursuing diverse research interests.
