Light & Sound Theragnostics
Engineering (LISTEN) Lab
Integrating light and sound to build the next generation of imaging and theragnostic systems at IIT Bombay.
Our focus
The Light and Sound Theragnostics Engineering (LISTEN) Lab started in May 2024 in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at IIT Bombay, India. We focus on integrating optical and ultrasound based technologies to develop innovative theragnostic solutions and enable personalized healthcare. Our interdisciplinary work engineers novel imaging devices and reconstruction algorithms for preclinical and clinical applications.
Application areas
Breast cancer screening
Non-invasive optoacoustic imaging for early detection.
Rheumatoid arthritis
Imaging inflammation and vasculature in joints.
Brain imaging
Functional and structural imaging of neural tissue.
Skin imaging
High-resolution mapping of skin and microvasculature.
