Dr. Prasenjit Bhaumik

I have done B.Sc. in Chemistry (Hons) from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, University of Calcutta. I have obtained M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Biotechnology Center (now, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering), IIT Bombay. My Ph.D. research work at the Dept. of Biochemistry in University of Oulu, Finland involved protein crystallographic studies on enzymes alpha-methylacyl-CoA racemase and argininosuccinate lyase to decipher their catalytic mechanism. During my postdoc I have worked at NCI Frederick on structural studies of aspartic proteases from P. falciparum. My current research is focused on understanding the structure-function relationship of enzymes, protein complexes and structure based drug development.

Dr. Subrata Dasgupta

I have completed my M.Sc. degree in Biochemstry from CSJM university Kanpur. Recently I have obtained my Ph.D. degree from NIT Durgapur. During my Ph.D. I have worked on understanding the structural and functional role of some water molecules in human Monoamine oxidase B (hMAO B) by molecular dynamics simulation methods. I have expertise in MD simulation, docking and quantum mechanical calculations. I have joined Protein Crystallography laboratory in April 2022. My current research is focused on studying the molecular basis of functional propertis of proteins.
